Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi

- One of Tanzania’s highest concentrations of elephants—large family herds around the Tarangire River.
- Iconic baobab trees scattered across rolling savannah.
- Abundant wildlife including:
- Lions, leopards (less common), cheetahs (occasional)
- Giraffes, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests
- Oryx, kudu, hartebeests
- Over 500 bird species—superb birdwatching.
- Continue with your game drive, especially around the Tarangire River, which attracts animals throughout the day.
- Proceed to your lodge/camp inside or near Tarangire.

Day 14: Tarangire → Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)
Morning:
- Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your lodge or camp inside/near Tarangire.
- Optional short game drive if time allows—elephants, giraffes, baobab landscapes, and morning predators on the move.
- Depart Tarangire and begin the journey toward Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
- Drive time: 3.5–4.5 hours depending on your lodge location and traffic near Arusha.
- Scenic views of Maasai steppe plains.
- Pass through Makuyuni and Arusha, with optional stops:
- Local craft markets (Tinga Tinga art, Maasai beadwork).
- Coffee plantations near Usa River (quick photo or coffee tasting stop if time permits).
- On clear days you may see the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru.
- Drop-off at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your international flight.
